I am just wondering out of curiosity-
couldn't someone just write their own recommendations for the common application and submit them online from a fake email address?
i know people who are doing this!

No idea, my school only allows recommendations to be written by teachers. So... Just tell someone else to write it for you... it's less work for you anyways.

i agree. it would be a lot easier to have an actual teacher write your reccomendation. less hassle. less time. better for you.

The other benefit to not falsifying your application is that, this way, your admission to the university won't be revoked. One certainly doesn't want to go through years of college education and then be denied the privilege of graduation after the school finds out about such extreme academic dishonesty.
