I practice dancing on my own time but never went to actual dance lessons or competed in a competition. I was wondering if colleges would still consider this in any way. I wish to pursue dancing in college but just as a hobby and i will definitely join clubs or anything like that. Btw Michael Jackson is my idol and i usually practice his dances in case anyone was wondering.

I wouldn't put it; it would just clutter your application. Unless there's some way you've shown your interest. If there isn't, that's pretty much like "I do DDR sometimes, I'm pretty beast at it." That's just my personal opinion though

I think if there's space you should go ahead and put it. It's something you like to do! Here's an interesting note I saw on the UNC Admissions' Blog for their application's activities section: They don't have to be "official" activities. List whatever you've spent a significant amount of time doing, not just the official, school-related activities. I read an application once where a student simply listed "Reading" because she loved reading and spent many hours a week enjoying science fiction novels. Maybe you've been teaching yourself guitar or you are constantly sketching in your journal. Let us know about those things too. Obviously every school's different, but if it's something that represents you and you can speak briefly and passionately about it.. I'd go for it!
