Merced, the youngest member of the University of California system, is getting a visit from First Lady Michelle Obama. That’s big news for the town and for the college. It’s also coming at a big price: $700,000 – which is $600,000 more than they had originally budgeted for the  speech. And yet, this is an investment bound to reap a massive return on income. So congrats to you, Merced.
